The painting depicts a landscape with a country road passing through a grove of willows. It is spring, the first leaves have just begun to appear. The foliage is still transparent, reminiscent of a delicate green haze that envelops the dark hulks of trees. Very soon it will cover them, and the grove will look different. In the meantime, you can see through the foliage a patch of field with winter crops in the background on the right. There the grass has already gained strength and colour. Shadows and light dance on the dusty road, forming patterns. Despite the clouds in the sky, this day is bright, sunny and very peaceful and warm. The road goes into the grove and turns there beckoning to go further and see how it is. The picture is painted in impressionist technique. The author was inspired by the works of A. Sisley and used here short, juicy strokes. It turned out that this technique better helps to reflect the state of nature - awakening, the beginning of a new life period, when everything is still tender, slightly blurred, the colours are cautious, pastel.
