It is especially beautiful at night, when the lights of the city are reflected in its water, sparkling like a scattering of precious stones. The Seine is the treasure of Paris. Summer is when it lives a special life. Pleasure boats scurry along it, where Parisians and visitors enjoy the views, and some with a glass of wine. Barges with restaurants are moored along the shores, where life is also bustling. People walking along the embankment, sitting on it, are relaxed and lazily watching this. And above, cars are rushing along the embankment, other people are walking along the streets, sitting in restaurants, laughing, rejoicing. And at this moment, two people are standing on the bridge and feeling what happens when parting with real friends. They silently say goodbye to this river, hoping someday to stand on this bridge and say “Salut” to it. Two coins into the water, as a sign of hope.... And it’s time. There’s a plane in the morning, and other cities, other rivers. That’s how the Seine seemed to the author on his last night in France....
